Phone Outages at IWCS IWCS is currently experiencing phone outages once again due to a Spectrum issue. We appreciate your patience during this time and will post an update once the problem has been resolved.
Hardy, Carrollton, & Westside to dismiss at 1:00pm on Friday, October 4. This will give students an opportunity to attend the SHS Homecoming parade in downtown Smithfield at 4pm.
K-2 Interim Reports Delayed Interim reports for students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade will not be going home tomorrow due to a technical issue. Interim reports will be sent home for students in grades K-2 on Friday, October 4. Students in grades 3-12 will receive their interim reports tomorrow as scheduled.
Monday, September 23, is an Asynchronous Day for Students and a Staff Work Day Students do NOT report to school on Monday. Schools will share additional information on the expectations for students on an asynchronous day.
CAES HVAC System and Air Quality Carrollton Elementary School has experienced issues with their HVAC system for many years. While patches have been made to the system over time, the complete replacement of the system at Carrollton has been made a priority by the Isle of Wight County School Board and county’s Board of Supervisors. I truly appreciate the commitment of the School Board and Board of Supervisors to resolving these ongoing issues by investing in a new building-wide HVAC system. The project, which is estimated to cost over $7 million, will rectify heating, cooling, moisture, and air circulation issues at Carrollton Elementary.
IWCS Implements Online Facility Rental Platform IWCS is excited to introduce the new facility scheduling software that is now in place for renting school facilities.
