This Saturday, March 13, marks the one year anniversary of Governor Northam's announcement that all schools across the Commonwealth would be closing for two weeks due to rising COVID-19 cases. That was followed by the impossible news that schools would not reopen for the rest of the 2019-2020 year.  As bad as that was, and as challenging as this year has been, we want to celebrate the resiliency shown by our students and staff for adapting to these unprecedented circumstances and persevering in spite of tremendous adversity.

We are declaring March 17 Resiliency Day throughout IWCS.  The color representing resilience is Green and we encourage everyone to wear Green on March 17.  For B day students, please have them wear Green on March 16.

In addition to wearing Green, we encourage you to post pictures on Twitter and other social media sites, with the Hashtag #IWCSStrong and your school abbreviation #CAESStrong.

Thank you for your strength in overcoming unimaginable obstacles and adversity during the past 12 months.
